Garage Door Repair Reviews in New Jersey (Updated June 2026)

I asked, on the phone, if there would be a service charge to reset the remote. The woman was evasive and said I would be given choices. Had I known it would be more than $85. just to do this, I wouldn't have gone through with it. I am sorry I bought this brand door now that I know it would need two services a year just for lubricating the door at $360 per service! I had my last door for 30 years with nothing like this! Nothing wrong with the resetting of the remote, just unfair charge policy.

The main issue is that the door was locked and I did not realize it. I had quest watch the house and they must of locked it, That’s why the door would not open. Than I was told I needed sensors and were very expensive. I thinking maybe I could do without. I did get the new key pad which I needed. The job have over $500.00 which is a lot of money.

Booking process (online) was easy and straightforward. Communication was excellent (confirmation, reminders, "on the way"). Provided a photo of the tech - nice touch from a safety perspective. The technician (Jonathan) arrived on time and listened to the issues I was running into with the door. His inspection was thorough and he explained what needed to be repaired/replaced and the options (and what really needed to be done vs what was optional). After he completed the work, he explained and showed what he had done and made sure I was happy with everything. He even left me with a can of spray lubricant and showed me how to care for the rollers. Would definitely recommend. Will use them again if needed.

I had Precision out over the years to replace the remote electric garage door opener, and then another time to install a key cable in the case I could not open the garage door using the electric garage door opener. This time one of the cable/springs finally gave out after many years and the cable was done. I went on the website after 9 p.m. the previous evening and was able to schedule service for the very next day. Luke arrived exactly within the ETA and contacted me beforehand to let me know he was 25 minutes out. When he arrived he was friendly , professional, and got to work right away inspecting the project. He clearly was a garage door expert. He treated the project in my opinion like it was his own home. He explained things very well so I could understand what exactly was involved in the repair. He also explained to me the materials used by Precision and the level of quality, versus some of the other companies. It was not an inexpensive repair, however it was worth it knowing that materials and competence were involved by somebody that treated it like it was their own. Since my garage is a unique size, it was much less expensive than having a new custom door installed.

Great customer service from Tyler Soni. He explained the issue, costs and how the repair would go. I needed new springs, cables and new bottom seal. Everything was done within an hour. Answered any questions I had and was very professional! The cost was pricey I thought but I needed these repairs now and not later. I would most likely use Precision again but you should expect to pay up for these high quality services.
